Do you sh-bootie?

I am a shoe freak! Pumps, sling backs, flip flops, stillettos...I love them all and can't get enough! But there is a newer fashion trend hitting the magazines this fall that I'm not so sure about.

They're called shooties, or booties...however, I think the term sh-booties is better suited. They're a cross between a shoe, and a boot. Very interesting...

I just can't decide if I should invest in this new (but strange) footwear fashion, or just take a pass. The more I look at them, the more attractive they become...but I'm still not sure. Have you seen them? Take a look and let me know what you think. I could use your fashionista advice on this funky trend!

I love these shoes but I wouldn't wear them myself.  If I did I would cover them up with jeans, which completely ruins the purpose of wearing these fancy little things.  I would lift my pantleg so I could show everyone that I was wearing them, because knowing all my girls, they wouldn't believe I would ;)

Ummmm....I am also a shoe fanatic. And I say What are you contemplating?!?!? I say get 'em!!! And these are definitely NOT TO BE WORN WITH JEANS....I repeat...NOT TO BE WORN WITH JEANS!!!! These shoes need to be admired by all who come in your presence! Classy mini or something of the sort would be appropriate....:-) I especially love the first pair myself!

 

Hey Alicia: Thanks for the advice! I also love the first pair. Classic mini? How do you recommend wearing these at work? Not sure I can pull off anything too short in the office. ; )

Who are you trying to fool Jess? We all know you will be strutting' around the office in sh-booties before we know it.  I think these shoes will be better then the other trend you decided to follow ;)  Just show me what to wear them with and I will borrow your pair!

 

G! Haha! You are so right about that one -- I tend to fall for the trends eventually...it's just a matter of time!

I definitely have a love affair with shoes! But I must say that I cannot imagine wearing these. I don't love them... but maybe that means they are just not for me. I think they have to fit your personal style, and I am not sure that sh-booties fit in with mine. :o)

 

Maybe not sh-booties but I know you love a great pair of heels!

I have a pair of lace-up, black sh-booties.  I love them because they give me a chance to play up plain outfits and also follow the new feminine menswear vibe that is currently in all the magazines.  They look great with a mini (try leggings for work) or skinny jeans.  The key to trends like this that may go out quickly is to invest in a cheap pair.  Mine are from Payless and I have to say that they are the most comfortable heels that I own!

I love discount fashion! Just like Sarah Jessica Parker says "Fashion is not a luxury."
