Hey dolls & divas!

Check out this fascinating web-interactive from Newsweek - The Beauty Breakdown - (Thanks, Melissa for sharing!) on the crazy amount of moolah we ladies put into looking fabulous. Some of the numbers are absolutely shocking - especially when you see how quickly a few highlights and facials can add up over a lifetime!

Feeling a little financially-frozen? Remember, you can always create your own beauty treatments right at home. Check out the Artistry Time Defiance skin care line for at-home alternatives to dermatological procedures to keep your face, and your wallet, pain-free! My latest fave? The NEW Time Defiance Lifting Eye Cream. And it's your lucky day because I have two of them right here on my desk just waiting for a good home! Want a chance to experience the eye-catching results for yourself? It's confession time...

What is the most amount of money (gulp!) you've ever spent on a dermatological procedure, fancy hair-do, or other beauty treatment? Comment here and I'll enter you in a random drawing to win the new Lifting Eye Cream!

The maximum I have spent in a day is about $300 dollars, got a hair color and cut :)

Hey Jessica .

Have been reading your blogs lately .. pretty cool .. Love your style and the information you provide us each time. I am also a big fan of Artistry Time defiance and my fav products are Vitamin C and wild Yam and the illuminating essence. I swear by them and I have had significant changes using these on a regular basis.

The Lifting Eye Cream sounds great .. and good timing with the mother's Day coming up coz I am thinking of sending it to her.

Thanks

Between a manicure, pedicure, facial, massage, and a light lunch, I spent a few hundred bucks.

I do have to say that, because of using Artistry products, I seem to "disappoint" those who give the facials. According to them, my skin is in "too good of shape." Ha!

Fabulous! I've had the same experience...and I hate to say it, but I love disappointing them! : )

I went to London a few years ago with a group from my college, and while there I went to a fancy salon to get my haircut. They told me it was 40 something pounds, and not thinking that this was much (my mind was still thinking in dollars) I thought that was fine. Turns out 40 something pounds equaled about $75. This may not seem like much for some people, but for a girl who usually spends $15 at a cheapy place, this was big spending for me! It's ok though. At least I can say that I've had my haircut in a London salon. :)
